Helios Collective offers composers opportunity to work alongside industry professionals, including performance of new work at West End venue
This November, Helios Collective will offer three composers the opportunity to create a 15-20 minute piece for flute, clarinet, violin, cello and piano and up to four voices that will be developed with the aid of Kasper Holten (director of opera at The Royal Opera House), David Parry (conductor of The Mikado at ENO), Stephen Barlow (artistic director of Buxton Festival) and Stephen Unwin (ex-artistic director of The Rose Theatre).
The company will also provide a two-week programme in which participants have direct contact with composers as mentors. The first week will involve working with a director and conductor to develop the works, while the second will be spent in The Arts Theatre, Westminster, with industry professionals. The event will conclude with a final performance on Friday 13th November in The Arts Theatre and a feedback session from the whole panel.
To enter, send your pitch, plus examples of your work and a CV to email@example.com. Applications close at 11pm on 20th June.
